Description (What the record is about)
-
Copy for Millicent Garrett Fawcett. Written in the train. The half hour interview with Wilson was the previous night, with eleven speakers. Outlines the provision for women in the covenant (of the League of Nations). Says that the thing to be done now is for pressure to be put on Governments to appoint at least one woman to the Secretariat, and suggest a name for Great Britain. Feels one name from both Suffrage and Labour people combined would be better than a number. Gives details of the interview. Considers the running of the (Women's) Conference very bad indeed. Typed
