Description

Black diced full-leather album, 305x255mm, containing mounted prints, some with letterpress captions. The album is in very poor physical condition and probably belonged to an officer of the 35th Sikhs as they appear regularly throughout the album including the Sudan Campaign of 1896 and as part of the Malakand Field Force of 1897. There are also miscellaneous topographical views. Process = Albumen and gelatine silver prints. Photographers = Zangaki, J. Winters and others unknown;.
