27 October 1714. Case concerning the rights of bishops and patrons of parishes where new churches are built, with opinion of Thomas Powys (f.1). Also another opinion on the same questions by Sir Edward Northey, 9 November 1714 (f.3).

5 August 1713. Letter from John Arbuthnot, from St. James's recommending Gibbs as surveyor (f.69).
14 August 1713. Certificate by Sir Christopher Wren of Gibbs' knowledge in Architecture and what relates thereto' (f.71).
[14 October 1713]. Petition by James Gibbs for the place of surveyor. Has studied architecture abroad for several years under the greatest masters at Rome (f.73).
13 January 1716. Letter from James Gibbs, attributing his dismissal from the post of surveyor to false charges that he was a papist and disaffected. Asks to be allowed to proceed with the church in the Strand. Will send copies of books of measurement of the seven churches in hand and the model of the church in the Strand. Three other models and a model of a monument to be erected in the Strand are not paid for (f.75).
27 January 1716. Letter from the same, delivering a model of the church in the Strand and plans of sites in his custody. Indends to engrave his plans of the church in the Strand (f.77).
[20 June 1716]. Statement of the duties of the solicitor to the commission (f.79r-v).
1721. Statement by Alena Maria Leacroft, widow of John Leacroft, treasurer, of her husband's accounts (ff. 81-4).
