6 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 14¾ inch cylinder, 3 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron connecting rod.Coloured original and reverse general view and plan of the engine, longitudinal section of the boiler; parallel motion - coloured original drawing; plan of the boiler, plan of the winding barrel and fly wheel marked "Vide framing for Messrs. Clark Langmead & Co." (these two drawings are marked "Original of this pasted on the drawing of the framing sent off"); working gear - coloured original front and side views. All the drawings except the last 2 items bear letter codes.

For T. W. & B. Botfield. Colliery winding engine, Tipton. The Catalogue of Old Engines spells the firm as "Bottfield".
