Richard Vivian Mansell of Oakdown, Burwash Common, purchased the Oakdown estate from the executors of Lady Margaret Cecil on 31 July 1920. On 27 December 1945 he sold the estate to Miss Margery Honor Miller of Guestling, and on 20 March 1946 this field formed part of the Oakdown Estate (OS plots 1537, 1468, 1463-4, 1475, 1476 (part), 1493 (part) 1498 (part), in all 10.085 acres, sold by Miss Miller to Cecil John Miles of Bunkers Hill for £1315. Miles sold all but The Triangle (see AMS 6779/3/2) to Mrs Margaret Ethel Palmer of Hackwoods, Robertsbridge, for £2300 on 27 April 1946. On 6 October 1948 Mrs Palmer sold to Alfred Hancock of Hillingdon in Middlesex, who sold to Edmund Peter Barnes-Gorell of Epsom on 24 April 1959. On 1 October 1962 Barnes-Gorell sold to Peter Frizzell and Joan Rose Mackie, who sold to Peter John Durrant and Gillian M Durrant on 4 June 1964. On 14 July 1969 the Durrants sold to Yvonne Mary Rawlings and Mary Brook, who sold her interest to John Herbert Rawlings and his wife Y M Rawlings on 9 November 1970. On 17 June 1971 Mr and Mrs Rawlings of Broad Acres sold OS 1467, containing five acres, to Mrs Marjory Jean Smith of Bunkers Hill Farm for £825.
