Alexander Brodie (receipted by Thos. Lyon) for £20. 15s. 2d.: Thos. Webb Edge bought of Alexander Brodie, Cary Street, London. Cast iron octagon oven etc. Note from Wm. Skreens at Cary Street, London that order sent by Hand and Hammonds waggon with enclosed directions for workmen to fix properly, no doubt but will give entire satisfaction "being more useful and frugal than any other oven." 4 Aug. 1785
