Administrative / biographical background

The tests were carried out by Saunders-Roe Ltd., Helicopter Division, at Eastleigh Airport in 1953-1954. Report written by L. R. Trier and includes plans.

Chief Designer: Maurice J Brennan. Pilot: Geoff Tyson. The aircraft was fitted with experimental wheeled skis and the tests were to establish the minimum clearance required around the wheel inside the ski.
