J.H. Cooper (1831-1909) was vicar of Cuckfield from 1888 until his death, and contributed a number of articles to Sussex Archaeological Collections.
George Leyden Hennessy was the author of Chichester Diocesan Clergy Lists (1900), the working papers for which are among the Dean and Chapter Records (Cap.I/21/13-17).
