Description

Theological notebook of the Revd. Thomas Bennett. Amongst other items it includes the following:

Notes for sermons preached by Bennett at Long Acre Chapel in the parish of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and at St. Swithin London Stone, St. Anne Blackfriars, St. Peter Cornhill, and St. Antlins in the parish of St. John, Upper Walbrook, London, 1787-9. Also (p.57) notes for a sermon preached at Brighton, Sussex, in 1794 [probably at the Countess of Huntingdon's Chapel], and (p.31) notes of a charity sermon on Sunday Schools preached at Long Acre Chapel by the Revd. - Forster in 1787 (pp. 1-72).

'Religious Visiting scripturally spent Or an Evening [Well Spent], Being a Dialogue between Mr. and Mrs. Graceful, Miss Love, Mrs. Fearing, Miss Hope, Miss Spiritualmindedness, Mr. Timotheous, and Mr. and Mrs. Carnality. Dedicated to the Countess of Huntingdon and the Society at Spa Fields Chapel by Thomas Bennett, Minister of the Gospel', no date (pp.96-102).
