The testator bequeaths household goods to his wife Ellen; £5 is left to each trustee (Thomas Jenkins (chemist) and Andrew Hughes (maltster), both of Coventry, and the wife), who will let Ellen receive rents from her husband's estate in her lifetime with successive remainders between the testator's children (with right of survivorship) and the children of his brother Edward, applying any part of an infant legatee's share for its maintenance and half for its advancement; after Allen's death, the personalty will be invested in public stocks.
23rd. May, 1851. Earlier draft attached without the provision for Edward Mattocks' children; Ellen is not shown as trustee or executrix.
