These drawings and plans were deposited by the London solicitors Boodle Hatfield, who acted for the Lamb and Singleton families, owners of Beauport Park. For deeds of the estate, deposited by the same firm, see ACC 5046.
When the Land Tax charged on Beauport was redeemed by the trustees of C J S M Lamb's estate in April 1925, the mansion was described as 'recently burnt down (ACC 5046), and the plans listed as AMS 5609/2 below doubtless derive from the planned restoration. It is possible that AMS 5609/2/1-4 below, which omit the servants' quarters at the edge of the mansion, were prepared for contract with a demolition contractor.
By 1938 the house, the property of John H Singleton, was run as a hotel (Kelly).
