A bundle of acquittances for payments due to the Crown from various members of the Williams family for lands held of the Crown in chief in co. Lincoln., temp. Eliz. - James I.
"Vellum roll, about 18 ft. long, imperfect at the beginning and the end, giving a detailed account of the visit of Charles IV, Emperor of the West [called Emperor of Rome] and his son Wenceslas, King of the Romans, to Charles V of France. They were received at Paris on 4 Jan. 1368, and the particulars of their reception there and elsewhere and the ceremonies are given in great detail ... The roll appears to be a contemporary account".
