St. Paul's Lodge received a warrant from the Antients' Grand Lodge on 26 December 1812 to meet as No. 161B. It was granted a warrant held previously by a Lodge at the George, Whitechapel, London which had lapsed by 1775. The Lodge met in a Private Room in Monkwearmouth, Durham and met as No. 197 after the union between the Antients' and Moderns' Grand Lodges to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813. The Lodge failed to prosper and was erased in 1828.
