Assignment of terms of years, 26 February 1761

1. James Harrison of Low Barns, Kirkby Lonsdale, gentleman.

2. Thomas Garnett of Barbon, Kirkby Lonsdale, yeoman.

Recitals:- articles of agreement, 13 December 1759 that (2) would convey to (1) all those closes called Byersteads and Scale Wood, containing 8½ acres, subject to free rent of 6d per acre for £250;

- Since agreed that (1) should convey to (2) 1 close called Stonecross and in return (2) would free Byersteads and Scale Wood from all rent.

Premises: all that close, inclosure, piece or parcel of ground in Barbon called Stone Cross or Stone Cross Parrock, containing 1 rood with appurts.

- For such terms of years as are subsisting.

Consideration: freeing of closes called Byersteads and Scale Wood by (2) from any rents due to James Shuttleworth, esquire.

Witnesses: William Yeates, Wm Carus.

Endorsement: memorandum on same date that (1) and (2) agreed that Stonecross close should be liable to 2d free or fee farm rent payable to James Shuttleworth, esquire, witnessed [as above].
