Records of West Sussex Record office additional manuscripts

This, the thirteenth volume of Additional Manuscripts (Add Mss), has, in general, been compiled along the lines indicated in the introduction to the first volume

Apart from deeds of title which form the major part of this volume, there will also be found a register of objects given to the Museum of the Chichester Literary and Philosophical Society, 1831-1872, Add Mss 9,459); letters from Dr. T. Sanden to Sylas Neville (Add Mss 9,471); records of the Petworth Savings bank (Add Add Mss 9,521-9, 586); letters to George Strahan, from Benjamin Franklin, Lord Lyttelton and the Earl of Eldon (Add Mss 10,083) and photocopies of the Minister's Accounts of the Manor of Apuldram, 1287-c.1350) (Add Mss 10,175)

No index has been provided to this volume as all the relevant details of this, and all previous volumes, have been included in the card indexes of persons, places and subjects which are in the Search Room of the County Record Office

Students are again asked to exercise care in quoting references, and to use the form indicated in the Introduction to the first volume
