(1) pp. 1-3, Bill of Sale under the Seal of Raja Ram Rajah Chetterpett, 24th Sept. 1690, Sale of the Fort at Tevenapatam (Fort St. David) to President Elihu Yale. Love (Vestiges of Old Madras, I, 519) gives the date of signature as 2nd Sept. 1690. (2) p. 3, Porlada Nearazee, a Minister of Raja Ram, to Gopall Dadazee, Head Subadar of Paulem Cotah, n.d. (3) pp. 3-4, Certificate from Cheveda Balazee, 19th Dec. 1690, as to the extent of the Company's Possessions at Tevenapatam. (4) p. 5, Parwana from Nabob Zulfakeer Bahadur [i.e. Zulfikar Khan, Mughal General against the Marathas at Gingee] to Elihu Yale, n.d. (5) pp. 5-6, Cowle from Zulfakeer to Elihu Yale confirming the privileges of the English at Chinapatam, n.d. (6) pp. 6-7, Farman from Raja Ram to Elihu Yale, n.d. (7) pp. 7-8, Dastak from Wallagolley Bangar Yaihme Naik to the Juncaneers 24th Feb. 1693/4. To give no obstruction to the trade of the English at Tevenapatam. (8) pp. 8-9, Letter to William Hatsell [first] Deputy Governor of Fort St. David confirming the territorial claims of the English at that place 25th June 1695. (12) pp. 13-4, Zulphakar Cawn's Farman, September 1698, confirming the rights of the English at Tevenapatam. (13) p. 14, Grant of land to the Governor of Tevenapatam under the seal of Seroap Sing, Killedar of Gingey, in the 6th year of Shaw Aulem's Reign (i.e. reign of Aurangzeb 1659-1707). (14) pp. 15-6, Dewan's Farman 12th Sept. 1698, Grant of Tevenapatam. (15) pp. 16-7, Agreement under the Seal of Seroap Sing in the 6th year of Shaw Aulem. (16) pp. 17-9, Farman under the Seal of Nabob Mahomed Ally Cawn 2nd Oct. 1749, Mylapore granted to the English on condition of their assisting the Nawab against the French. (17) pp. 20-2, Farman under the Seal of Mahomed Ally Cawn 31st Dec. 1749 confirming the rights of the English at Tevenapatam. (18) pp. 22-4, Farman for Poonemelly under the Seal of Aneverdy Cawn 26th Sept. 1750. Anwaruddin Khan, Governor of the Carnatic, was killed in battle on 23rd July 1749; probably the seal was used by his son Muhammad Ali, who is often referred to under the title of Anwar-uddin Khan. (19) pp. 24-5, Grant of a Mansab of 2,000 horse to Charles Floyer, Governor of Fort St. David, by Anaverdy Cawn 18th Oct. 1750. (20) pp. 25-8, Agreement between Thomas Saunders, Governor of Fort St. David, and Pratap Sing, King of Tanjore, 1st Jan. 1755, surrendering to the English the town of Divicottah, granting concessions of Trade and arranging the King's tribute, in return for the Company's protection.
