John Diamond, master, and William Pollard, mariner, of the sloop Truelove of Padstow, testified that Edward Jackson had shipped 550 bushels of white salt, at Bristol in August, to the account of Edward Jackson, to be taken to Bewde [Bude], duty paid; due to stormy weather, 42 bushels were lost.
