This lodge is believed by John Lane 'Lanes Masonic Records' to have been established in 1801 by members of the Anchor and Hope Lodge, No. 292 'Moderns' and then fell into abeyance shortly afterwards. However, it now appears that although the Warrant was dated 1801, it was not installed until 1803. The lodge was erased in 1961, when the Grand Lodge of India was formed.
