Upon London Government reorganisation in 1965, the part of Kingston County Petty Sessional Division which remained within the County of Surrey became the Esher Petty Sessional Division. In October 1966, its area was amalgamated with Walton on Thames (previously in the Chertsey Petty Sessional Division) to form the new Esher and Walton Division.
