20 horse power side lever boat engine for land, with 26¾ inch cylinder, 2½ foot stroke.Reverse side view of the engine, plan of the engine and shaft. The sheet bears a letter code.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 786. Catalogue of Old Engines .
For Henry Wyatt & Co. Vatch Mills, near Stroud, Gloucestershire. This was the first boat engine to be appropriated to a land customer. In 1842 this engine was purchased by M. Brodie of Stroudwater.
