Sir Henry Norman, M.P. was born 19 September 1858. He married twice and fathered 2 sons and one daughter. He was a J.P. for Surrey and an M.P. for S. Division of Wolverhampton, 1900-1910; and for Blackburn 1910-1923. He was knighted 18 December 1906, made a baronet 22 June 1915 and became a member of the the Privy Council 16 January 1918. He wrote several books including 'The Real Japan, Peoples and Politics of the Far East' and 'All the Russias'; and he was interested in motoring. He died in 1939.
