Iieut. Hayward William Yeomans, Hereford
Regiment, attached M-G.C, who fell on Oct
8th, aged 25, was the last surviving son of Mr.
And Mrs. J. H. Yeoman, oi Withington, Here-
ford. Ilo was educated atHereford Cathedral
School, where ho was twice Vjctor Ludorcm,
and was a scholar of Brasenoee. He was a mem-
ber o£ his college athletic team whon they won
the Inter-Collegiate Cup in 1914. At the end of
his third year ho took Honours in the Final His-
tory Schools. On tho outbreak of war, he was
commissioned from tho O.U.O.TC. To the Here-
ford Regiment. On January 1st last he joined
tho M.G.C.. And went to the front on April 9.
Lieut, Yeomans' only brother, See. Lt. Walter
J. G. Yeomans, K.S.L.I., was killed leading his
platoon on April 9th last.;Other Notes: YEOMANS, Captain, HAYWOOD WILLIAM, 2nd/1st Bn. Herefordshire Regiment attd. Machine Gun Corps. Killed in action at Oude Kruiseecke, 8th October 1917. Age 25. Son of Mary Rebecca Yeomans, of Woodfield, Weston Beggard, Hereford, and the late John Haynes Yeomans. Joined Aug., 1914. XXXII. B. 3. New Irish Farm Cemetery - Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.;
