Single-acting engine, with 36 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, parallel motion.Reverse side view and plan of the engine. Both the drawings bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 143. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 304.
For Wheal Butson. According to the List of Engines made at Soho, the engine was stopped in Apr. 1793, and sold to the Bog Mine, between Marazion and Penzance, where it started work in Jun. 1794. In May 1796 it was stopped, and sold to Wheal Fortune. It was still at work at Wheal Fortune in May 1798.
