Steam Boat Engines (20 items).

1180. Danube Steamer No. 14, Seri Pervas (MM & MN). May-Oct. 1838. 20 items.
Two 60 horse power side lever boat engines, with 4 foot strokes. Power later increased to 70 horses.

Cross-section of the boat and engines (erroneously marked "Danube 15"), plan of the engine room deck beams, longitudinal section of the engine room and boiler, plan and section of the engine and boiler platforms, plan of the engines and boiler and sleepers (partially coloured) - reverse drawings made in the London office; coal boxes - reverse drawing; emptying pipes and cocks - partially coloured original and partially coloured reverse drawings; upper headstock - partially shaded original and partially shaded reverse drawings; feed pump valve box, feed valve box - partially coloured drawings made in the London office marked "not adopted"; valve box for hot and bilge water pumps - coloured original and coloured reverse drawings; steam and feed pipes, working gear, eccentric rod, circle, disengaging gear and reversing gear - partially coloured original and partially coloured reverse drawings; small pencil note re the order. All the drawings except those made in the London office bear letter codes, and some were used for Danube Steamer No. 15 [see Pf. 1181].

For the Imperial & Royal Danube Steam Navigation Co. According to a note in the Drawing Office Index, the power of the engines had been increased to 70 horses by 1841.
