In 1910, Mrs Ellen Walker (later Lady Granger) gave to the Royal Infirmary a building at Conisbrough knowns as & apos;The Priory& apos; for use as a convalescent home, to be known as the & apos;Godfrey Walker Convalescent Home& apos;. The home was sold in 1939 and the income from the proceeds used to provide convalescent care elsewhere.
