Folio 365. Draft letter from the Local Government Board to James Saunders, Clerk to the East Dereham Local Board in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 2 February, when he inquired if it was necessary for the East Dereham Local Board to give notices under section 32 of the Public Health Act 1875, [38 & 39 Vic c 55], with regard to the lands outside its district which it wishes to acquire for the purpose of making a road to its proposed sewage farm. They state that it appears to them that the road must be considered to be a 'work for sewage purposes' within the meaning of section 32 and that therefore the notices referred to in that section should be given.
