Microfilm of two ts accounts recording his experiences in North Russia (37pp) in the summer of 1919 and in North Africa (59pp), February 1943 - June 1943, including: the poor morale of Russian troops fighting against the Bolsheviks to the south of Archangel and Murmansk, the terrain and conditions, camp routine, hunting and the occasional patrol and skirmish, and the withdrawal of British troops in August 1919, life under canvas at Bone in Algeria waiting for equipment to arrive, describing the action at Jebel Baigon in hunting terms, the final action at Tunis and the Allied victory. Also included is a short history (16pp) of the operations of 23rd Field Regiment RA in France and Belgium, the UK, North Africa, and Italy, September 1939 - May 1945.
