Description (What the record is about)
-
1 - 4 I stopped and studied the above sign, prosecuted was incorrectly spelt, and there was a chunk missing from the sign, probably removed by an air gun pellet. I set up the camera, and took 3 photographs.
I rejoined the lane, the rich agricultural land continued, the large flat fields separated by stagnant ditches, until the lane rose past Ashton Cricket Club and joined Richmond Street. To the left in a dip there were some tightly packed allotments.
5 - 7 Returning to where I had parked the car I could see a corrugated building at the back of a church, which I imagine was once used as a church hall. It's now used by the local Asian community as a mosque. The building has possibilities (from a photographic point of view), but once again I'll need to return when there is a bit more light on it.
