The company was incorporated in 1883 to purchase land and build houses in Toxteth, Liverpool, with local builders and an architecct being among the original subscribers. The Company built both residential and commercial properties in Merseyside, and leased to tenants.
The records were surveyed by the Business Archives Council in 1984 by which time the company was managed by Beavan Maples & Co.
