War Office Casualty List 28/1/1919 (Nat Libr Scotland) (Repatriated POW)Leonard Dent enlisted in May1914 at Mirfield to the old H Coy. 5th Bn. His correct regimental
number is 2484 ... there is actually a notation on the 14/20 roll "submitted as No. 24811 in error
on 1914/15 Star Roll. Medal despatched and accepted." Dent went out with the 1/5th in April
but was invalided home at some point, as far as I know not wounded. He returned to the BEF
with a draft from the 4th Res. posted to the 5th but was transferred to the 13th York and Lancs
on October 13th 1916 and presumably almost immediately attached to the brigade MG Coy.;END OF RECORD.
