Description (What the record is about)
-
In Cotton's affair, he agreed to abate the odd 2/11 out of the bill of charges so that Hill will receive from Powys only £1,146 plus the interest from Ladyday "... I doubt not but your honour will meet with very fair dealings from Mr. Powys ..."
He has agreed with Mr. Abraham Ikyn for his tenement in Marchamley at £494. 15. 0d. There was a necessity for a Recovery.
A great part of the vault at Hodnet has been sunk and Wm. Price begun to lay the foundation. Madam Hill caused two new coffins to be made - one for her husband the other all the family bones are put into. Hill may send down the marble for steps and stone as soon as he pleases. The rest of the vault to be covered with square Grinshill flags.
Sir Richard Vernon speaks with spleen against Hill, as though he would not treat with him for the Hodnet estate, though he has declared he will sell to the best bidder.
Perhaps Hill could get Bateman to treat as though for himself for Bateman and Sir Richard are very familiar.
