The Jerusalem Lodge No. 197 was established and named in 1771 and met at the Jerusalem Tavern, St. John's Gate, Clerkenwell. The lodge now meets at 10 Duke Street, St. James's, London. This is one of the nineteen lodges that have the privilege of nominating each year a member for appointment by the Grand Master as a Grand Steward and is therefore known as a Red Apron Lodge.
