Administrative / biographical background

Allman's Lodge was granted a warrant by the Moderns' Grand Lodge on 9 February 1799 to meet as No. 575. It met at the Rose and Crown, Northgate, Almonbury, Yorkshire and then relocated to the Woolpack Inn, High Street, Almonbury in 1801. After the union between the Antients' Grand Lodge and Moderns' Grand Lodge in 1813 to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813, the Lodge received the number No. 594. On 4 December 1822 the Lodge was erased but was reinstated in 1825, when the Lodge again met at the Woolpack Inn, High Street, Amonbury. The Lodge was erased finally in 1832.
