Letter of Alexander Grant Carmichael, Deputy Worshipful Master to Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary, acknowledging receipt of John Gardam [Gardom]'s membership certificate and seeking membership certificates for Alexander Grant Carmichael, Hugh Hartley, Isaac Wood, Benjamin Myatt, John Greenwood, Patrick Nowland and Francis Bramwell, money for which expenses were paid to Union Lodge, No. 296 [SN 1294], Manchester. Postscript indicates the urgency of the certificate request due to the imminent departure of Alexander Grant Carmichael to Scotland. Signed by Alexander Grant Carmichael, Deputy Worshipful Master, Hugh Hartley, Senior Warden, Isaac Wood, Junior Warden and Benjamin Myatt, Secretary.

Derbyshire Lodge was granted a warrant by the Antients' Grand Lodge on 12 November 1810 to meet as No. 165B. In 1810 the Lodge met at the King's Head Inn, Market Place, Buxton, Derbyshire. After the union between the Moderns' and the Antients' Grand Lodges in 1813 the Lodge met as No. 201. In 1832 the Lodge was renumbered to meet as No. 143. In 1842 the Lodge moved from Buxton to meet at the Crow and Harpur's Arms Inn, Market Square, Longnor, Staffordshire. The Lodge was renumbered to meet as No. 122 in 1863. The lodge was erased in 1866.
