Collection of 169 loose prints from various sources, mounted and unmounted, the majority captioned. The collection was originally in the possession of the Indian Police (UK) Association which received photographs from members. Subjects and locations are therefore varied and include: the 1903 and 1911 Delhi Durbars, groups of Punjab Police officers, Malabar Police parades, Coimbatore Police group, views of demonstrations and riots in Peshawar, Central Provinces Police uniforms, Bengal Police uniforms, views of the aftermath of the 1934 Bihar earthquake including damaged police stations, views of police posts in the NWFP, Bombay Police group with Sir Patrick Kelly, Inspector-General's of Police Conference at Delhi, Assam Fire Service during the Second World War, a collection relating to the suppression of criminal activity by Hurs in Sindh, including portraits (some post mortem) of leaders, parade by Bombay City Police, unveiling of a memorial at Chauri Chaura, details of the Indian Police Medal, various miscellaneous snapshots.
