Recital of lease and release of 13 & 14 November 1830

Elizabeth Shuker became entitled to the property as one of the sisters and co-heiresses of Edward Edwards deceased.

William Shuker has borrowed several sums, namely £200 from Catherine Hughes and £200 from Sarah Owen, both secured by the bond of William Shuker; £170 from Richard Griffiths Parry by promissary note; some time ago William Shuker paid John Hayward of Oswestry, gent. £70. The sums borrowed and paid amount to £640 and were borrowed and paid by William Shuker on behalf and for the private purposes of Elizabeth Shuker as coheiress. She wishes to secure to William Shuker the repayment of £640 and interest @ 5%, so she appoints that the property shall stand charged with the payment to William Shuker, as below.

For the love she has for her son John, Elizabeth appoints that the dwelling house called Llwynygoe with the cottage, outbuildings and several pieces of land belonging (51a 10p) in the parish of Kinnerley, in the tenure of Mr James Knight, with all other property of Elizabeth in Kinnerley, shall from henceforth enure to the use of John Shuker and his heirs & c forever, subject to payment of any sum now charged on it by mortgage and subject to the payment to William of the several sums above with interest, and subject to the payment to Elizabeth Hughes, Sarah Knight and Mary Ann Shuker of the several sums charged thereon.

Elizabeth declares the sums amounting to £640 charged on the hereditaments shall be payable and paid to William Shuker at the end of 6 months after notice in writing from William Shuker, his executors, administrators and assigns requiring payment of the same is delivered to John Shuker, but interest shall be paid ½ yearly when due.

The sums due to Elizabeth Hughes, Sarah Knight and Mary Ann Shuker shall be paid at the end of 6 months after the death of Eliz. Shuker without interest. John covenants that he will pay William Shuker the £640 and interest, and the 3 women the sums of £10 each, making £30, as stated.
