Letter addressed to the Office Manager of Dorman Long and an image of a painting of Ellis Hunter . The letter is written by Mr Robinson who was the head of an un-named London tailors of which Ellis Hunter, a former Chair of Dormans, was a customer. The letter gives brief details of the relationship Robinson and Hunter had, and also tells of Robinson's connection to the iron and steel trade through having two brothers who worked for Consett Iron Co. Ltd. Mr Robinson forwarded the image to the Company as he felt he had nobody close to him who knew Hunter, and he felt that someone at the Company would be appreciative of the image.
