(a) William Fowler, as in Add Mss1132, (b) Richard Dally and William Raper, both as in Add Mss1134, (c) John Cooper, as in Add Mss1130, (d) Thomas Sprent and Henry Gratwick, both as in Add Mss1130, (e) John Leggatt, as in Add Mss1128, (f) William Youatt, of Chichester, dissenting minister, (g) James Florance of Chichester, gent., (h) James Powell of Chichester, esq., collector of customs in the port of Chichester
Property, as in Add Mss1128, now in occ. of John Earle
Conveyance from (a) and (b), with the consent and approbation of (e) and by the direction and approbation of (f), and from (e) and his trustee, (g), and assignment of the term of years, as in (i) below, from (c), at the request and by nomination of (d), (b) and (e) and by the nomination and appointment of (f), to (h), in trust to attend the inheritance. Of the consideration money, £250 is paid by (f) to (b) for the freehold, £600 to said Thomas Sprent and £400 to said Henry Gratwick in discharge of the mortgage as in (i) below, and £600 to (a) in discharge of the mortgage as in (ii) below
Recites: (i) Add Mss1132, (ii) Add Mss1132, 1133; (iii) Add Mss1134, 1135; (iv) that (b) caused the above property to be put up for sale by public auction by John Weller at the 'swan' inn, Chichester, on 8 Nov.1806, but that no person having bid a sum adequate to the value thereof, it was bought in; (v) that (f) has agreed with (b), with the concurrence of (e), for the purchase for £1,850 'being a larger Sum and better price than was bid for the same ... and the best price that can be reasonably expected'; (vi) that the principal sums of £1,000 (as in (1) above) and £600 (as in (ii) above) are owing, but that all interest has been paid off
