The main part of this deposit is composed of title deeds to property in Gilston and Sawbridgeworth which was acquired by the Turvin family of Terlings, Gilston, during the late seventeenth century and the first half of the eighteenth century. Also included are deeds relating to Turvin property in neighbouring Essex parishes, London and elsewhere.
This deposit also contains some deeds relating to property in Bushey and Watford (including Bushey Hall) which was connected with the Ewer and Wood families
