20 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 23¾ inch cylinder, 5 foot stroke, parallel motion, [cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod].Reverse plan and section of the engine and boiler houses and boiler; elevation and plan of the mill showing rooms, shafts, location of engine etc; sketch plan of the engine and proposed new mill, dated 5 Feb. 1824. The drawings of the engine house bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 556. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 78.
For John McCracken. Cotton mill, Belfast. This was the second engine that McCracken bought - the first was a 6 horse power bell crank engine [see Portfolio 5/754].
