Description (What the record is about)
-
2/3p, typescript
Greatly sympathises with Street's plans for lectures in Melbourne. Would be pleased to tell him about the Royal Institution's courses. Is sure his successor, [George] Porter, would give Street an opportunity of seeing the R.I.'s work. Will send a copy of the syllabus for the summer term. [Bill] Coates could tell Street a lot about arranging demonstrations. Should not wait for him to visit Australia to start the course. Does not wish to commit himself to a visit at present. Will be away from 22-31 March, otherwise should be in London. Asks Street to let him know when he is in London so they can arrange to meet.
