Folio 178. Draft letter from the Local Government Board to Charles Wright, Clerk to the Mitford and Launditch Rural Sanitary Authority, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 19 February 1875, which informed the Board that the Sanitary Authority had not appointed a medical officer of health for their district. The letter states that following recent legislation it has become obligatory for every rural sanitary authority to appoint or to combine with other sanitary authorities in appointing a medial officer of health. It requests that they make suitable arrangements as soon as possible.
