Description (What the record is about)
-
By DG Ainley. Air flow through a number of annular diffusers covering a range of diffuser angles of 60 deg to 19 deg has been examined by Reynolds number and inlet Mach number which have a general application to gas turbine work, and efforts have been made to improve the stability of the outlet flow, and the velocity distributions, by means of central dividing pieces splitting the flow and by screens of wire gauze across the diffuser annulus
