Twelve gaol and marshalsea rates levied to be paid to Edward Coode, gent., treasurer.
One bridge rate levied to be paid to James Chapple, gent., bridge surveyor (east).
Treasurer to pay clerk 40s. for carrying the statutes at large from one sessions to another, £32 for levy warrants for gaol and marshalsea rates at 10s. each for past year, and £21 for clerk's salary.
John Hearle Tremayne requested to preside as chairman at next sessions.
One bridge rate levied to be paid to William Moorman, gent., bridge surveyor (west).
John Boulderson of Falmouth, Samuel Cordozo of Redruth, Richard Daw of Redruth, Joshua Fox of Falmouth, John Penberthy Magor of Redruth, and John Miller of Mylor, gents. each fined 40s. for non-attendance on jury.
Rev. Francis John Hext Kendall appointed chaplain of gaol and house of correction, also of lunatic asylum in place of Rev. Leonard Jarvis Boor, deceased at same yearly salary and with same clerical duties.
Thanks of court given to Revs. Francis John Hext Kendall and Nicholas Kendall for their services at gaol and house of correction since death of Rev. Boor.

Orders made at general and adjourned sessions regarding new assize hall and judges' lodgings confirmed. Clause to be introduced in Bill for building of courts for levying a separate rate. Every tenant at rack rent may deduct half of this special county rate from rent due to his landlord, and tenants having already paid be discharged from payment of that half.
John Arundell Yeo, Ph.D. appointed visiting magistrate to lunatic asylum in place of John Kempe who has resigned.

Joseph Toon of Stratton, lab. indicted for stealing 14yds. of ribbon, property of Gregory Seccombe and Samuel Seccombe: six months' hard labour in Bodmin gaol.

James Bate of Lanlivery, lab., indicted for stealing five goatskin mats and five goatskins, property of Walter Treleaven: one month's hard labour in Bodmin gaol.

John Williams, Richard Oats, and James Curnow, all of Sennen, labs. indicted for stealing a thousand pilchards, property of James Saundry and others. All pleaded guilty: all received one month's hard labour in Bodmin gaol.
Richard Parsons of Lezant, lab. indicted for receiving a hogshead, property of John White, knowing it to be stolen: acquitted.
Stephen Common of Roche, lab. indicted for stealing five apples, property of Nicholas Robins: acquitted. [see also QS/1/12/546].
Thomas Munday of Ludgvan, lab. indicted for stealing a pair of stockings, a pair of vamps [short stockings or socks] and a pair of shoes, property of Nicholas Hocking: six months' hard labour in Bodmin gaol.

John Lock, Thomas Ball, Charles Northey and Richard Peardon, all of Launceston, labs., indicted for assaulting Richard Dingle, a constable of Launceston in execution of his duty and also for common assault: J.L., C.N. and R.P. found guilty. T.B. acquitted. J.L received two months' hard labour in Bodmin gaol and fined 1s. C.N. and R.P. received one month's hard labour and fined 1s. each.
John Bennett of Calstock, lab. indicted for stealing a silver teaspoon, property of Caroline Priscilla Rogers: four months' hard labour in Bodmin gaol.
Indictments against inhabitants of St. Austell and Callington for a nuisance held over to next sessions.

Appeal by Richard Rowett, [? of Tywardreath area], against conviction in sum of £20.15s.6d. costs for offence concerned with sale of beer and cider: conviction quashed.

Continued appeal by Crantock against order of 28 Sep. last for removal of Ann Mugford, singlewoman, from Newlyn. Stated that A.M. offered herself as servant to the wife of Constantine House, miller, living in Crantock. Mrs House agreed to employ her, A.M. saying that she would come "on the Monday following" and on asking what her wages would be Mrs House said she would take her on a month's trial: A.M. worked there for just over a month. Discussion followed regarding wages and A.M. said she could not afford to work for under £3.10s.0d. a year. This was agreed and A.M. remained there for a year: order reversed, with costs.

Application by Thomas Rickard Avery of Boscastle, merchant to have a gunpowder magazine at Delabole Quarry in St. Teath: licence granted (up to one ton).
