Administrative / biographical background

Christopher Rex Bryant, b.1905, educated at King's College, Canterbury, Pembroke College, Cambridge and St. Augustine's College, Canterbury. He was professed in 1935 and joined SSJE in 1942, becoming Father Superior of St. Edward's House, Westminster in 1955. He become renowned as a conductor of retreats and prayer workshops and in later life published a number of books on the psychology of spiritual life. He died in 1985.
