Folios 179-180. Letter from Benjamin Bird, overseer for the parish of Wellingham in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board. It concerns a sum in favour of the overseer contained in his accounts for the half year ending 29 September 1874, which the auditor had struck out as being contrary to the law. He asks that the amount be returned to him, as he did not know it was illegal.
