Counterpart of indenture of bargain and sale by Sir Henry Rainsford of Clifford Chamberer, co. Gloucs., Knight and Dame Elianor his wife to William Loggin of Swakeliffe [Swalcliffe], co. Oxford, gentleman and William Baldwyn and William Balls of Staple Inn, London, gentlemen, in consideration of the sum of £2186.13s.4d. paid to Sir Henry by William Loggin, of lands of c. 200 acres within and near the parish of Clifford Chamberer and Queynton als. Quinton co. Gloucs., known as the moytie of the mannor of Wincott or Wincott grownde, one meadow being called Brownffield of c.60 acres, also the cottage or sheaparde howse situate on the premises, all which premises were theretofore the lands of William Barnes esquire, deceased, and then or late were in the occupation of Sir Robert Leigh, Knight, by demise from Sir Henry Rainsford.
