... The lands of Carrokehoe and Garrenconnell, in the county of Kilkenny, - containing about 700 acres, - were "put upon [so in MS.] me", the writer, "towards satisfaction of my arrears". ... To receive an assignment on any part of The Marquess' estate was "very opposite to my inclination, though I durst not then refuse". ... "Your Excellency may dispose thereof as you think fit".
