Inspeximus (Letters Patent), at the request of Margaret Mareschall, Countess of Norfolk, of writs, 16 Nov. 1385, addressed respectively to the mayor, bailiffs and citizens of Chichester, and to the sheriff of Sussex, to allow said Margaret Mareschall, tenant of the manor of Bosham, to enjoy return of writs, view of frankpledge, assize of bread and ale, amercements of the sheriff's tourn in the same [sic] hundred, infangenthief, toll, team, soc and sac, wreck of the sea, and quittance of stallage and toll throughout the whole kingdom, which were allowed before John de Raygate and his brethren, king's justices to Roger le Bygod, sometime Earl of Norfolk and Marshal of England in the year 7 Edw. L [1278-1279]
