Three prints, each in a mounted and an unmounted format, of Hail and the Nefud Desert, Saudi Arabia. Although only one pair is initialed by the artist ("JE"), there is a consistency of style across all prints. All with German captions as follows:
1. "Frühmorgen im Nefud vor Gyobbeh". Initials "JE" to bottom right, dated "88". Some printed identification of geographical features, with additional pencil annotation to the mounted copy.
2. "Hâjel v NW". No initials, no date.
3. "Hâjel von Süden". No initials, no date.
One of the prints is stamped "D Carruthers, Barmer Hall, Kings Lynn". Apropos the identity of the artist "JE", it can be noted that in Douglas Carruthers, Arabian Adventure to the Great Nafud in Quest of the Oryx (1935), there is mention of one Julius Euting (p. 96): "In 1883 [C Huber] was back again in Arabia, taking with him a skilled archaeologist - Julius Euting of Strasbourg".
